Spherical Harmonic Analysis of BOSS DR12 galaxies: Impact of Neutrino prior models

In this talk, I will present an analysis on the impact of prior models in determining the upper bound of the sum of neutrino masses. We performed this study using an angular power spectra analysis of the BOSS DR12 large scale structure catalogue. When combining this dataset with the Planck 2016 CMB temperature and lensing data, Pantheon Supernovae Type Ia combined sample, and Big Bang Nucleosynthesis data from Deuterium-Hydrogen fraction, we advocate that the current available cosmological data have sufficient constraining power to probe neutrino model properties when combined with constraints from neutrino oscillation experiments. We compare results with the usual cosmological approach, where one considers the three species to be fully degenerate or similar approximations, and argue that these approximations lead to inconsistencies as high as 70% between approximations at a 95% CI for the sum of neutrino masses.
