First announcement

25 October 2010

The conferences High Energy Phenomena in Relativistic Outflows, HEPRO I and HEPRO II, were held with success in Dublin (2007), and in Buenos Aires (2009), respectively. A third conference, HEPRO III, on similar topics and with emphasis on physics of high-energy processes in all kinds of relativistic outflows, will be held in Barcelona, Spain, in June 2011.

HEPRO III will be devoted to the discussion of hot recent observational, phenomenological, and theoretical developments in the field of high-energy phenomena related to the objects containing relativistic winds and jets.  Some specific topics will be gamma-ray production in relativistic outflows, multi-wavelength jet/outflow emission, formation and propagation of relativistic jets, and particle acceleration in different relativistic contexts.

The meeting will be hosted by the Departament d'Astronomia i Meteorologia and the Institut de Ciències del Cosmos (ICC) of the Universitat de Barcelona. The workshop will take place at the University of Barcelona Historical Building, in the centre of Barcelona city. There will be invited and contributed talks, posters, and generous time for discussions. The Lecture Room will be the historic Aula Magna, which can accommodate up to 190 people.

The registration period will start on February 15, 2011. General information of the meeting and details on registration can be found in the website http://icc.ub.edu/congress/HEPROIII-2011

We look forward to see you in Barcelona!
