The Mediterranean Sea is really important in Barcelona. The city's history can not be understood without the presence of the sea.
We offer a guided tour through the Gòtic, Born and Barceloneta quarters, to explore in depth the relationship between the city and the sea. A journey in time from the old roman days to the most recent changes related with the Olympic Games and the tourism boom.

Get there from the Physics Faculty: Take the metro at the station Palau Reial Metro Line 3 (GREEN) towards TRINITAT NOVA and get off at the station called LICEU. Once at the platform, exit the station by the cue of the train (indicated with "Sortida la Rambla - Teatre Liceu"). Once outside the metro station, walk up the Rambles about 20 metres. Pla de la Boqueria will be at your right. You will recognise it because there are to bank offices (BBVA and Santander), a shop called "d'avui" and a drinking fountain.
Duration of the activity: 2 hours
The banquet dinner will be offered at the restaurant Salamanca, one of the most emblematic restaurants in the maritime quarter of La Barceloneta. The restaurant has been offering Meditarranean cuisine and market for more than 40 years.
The menu will consist on several characteristic Spanish starters to share, followed by a second course to choose and a dessert.
