David d'Enterria and Kazushi Iwasawa have been awarded ICREA senior scientists positions to join the ICC in the 2008 call.
Prof. d'Enterria is a particle physics experimentalist working at present in the field of heavy ion physics within the CMS collaboration at CERN. He will join the LHCb collaboration thus strengthening the UB high energy physics experimental group in the Institute.
Prof. Iwasawa is a well known astrophysicist, expert in the field of high energy astophysics. He is currently working at the Observatory of Bologna. He will join the group of Dr. Paredes, currently involved in the MAGIC and CTA projects, among others.
With these two new additions ICREA is already funding six positions in the different research groups of the ICC. Last year Prof. David Mateos was awarded a similar position and he is joining the ICC in the coming weeks.
