If you have completed all or part of your studies in a foreign university, you must enroll for admission within the deadline established in the academic calendar.
You must fill out the application for admission (Spanish version) (Catalan version) and submit it to the Admissions Office at he Physics Faculty Secretariat (postgrau.fisica@ub.edu) with the required documents. The documentation must be legalized and translated in appropriate cases. You can obtain information about official translations and certified copies here.
Admission requests are resolved through the doctoral school within approximately 2 months from the date the request was submitted, or from the date that they have been most recently modified.
IMPORTANT: Problems with the documentation can lead to delays in resolution and enrollment. Therefore, it is important that the documents submitted contain all the information requested on the application form and meets the requirements for documents issued abroad.

Documents needed for Application for new students with an international undergraduate degree:
- Identification (passport or EU identity document)
- Application for admission (Spanish version) (Catalan version)
- Document of Commitment which can be downloaded from this page. This is a document stating that a professor associated with the university agrees to be your thesis advisor.
- Bachelor's Certificate (original and copy).
- Bachelor's Transcripts (original and copy).
- the academic years
- the subjects taken.

- Your masters certificate and trascripts (original and copy) are optional. If you choose to provide them, the master's transcripts must list the same information noted above for the bachelor's transcripts.
- When you enroll you will have to pay a fee. You can either pay with a credit card on the spot, or in cash at a bank office (there is one located in the university building). If you opt for the second option, you must present proof that you paid this fee. The secretary will provide you with a document, which you must then have the bank stamp.
ATENTION: If your bachelor’s (or master’s) degree is not issued directly from the university in either Spanish or English, it must be translated into Spanish by a certified translator, and the translation must bear a line reading, "traducción fiel y exacta con su original en (original language)."
