Non Gaussian Simulations Comparison Project
 

Given the renewed interest in searching for non-Gaussianity from large-scale structure,  there is now the need of a suite of N-body simulations with non-Gaussian initial conditions.  Different groups have run and are running cases for the so-called local type non-Gaussianity, while the work for other shapes has just began. The Non-Gaussian Simulations Comparison Project (NGSCP) is an effort to test, compare and benchmark N-body simulations run for (as general as possible) non-Gaussian initial conditions.  This effort was prompted by a discussion held during the ESF exploratory  workshop “The Almost Gaussian Universe” held in CEA in June 2010.

We envision the comparison to be split in several stages: 
Generation of the initial conditions, further subdivided in factorizable (or separable) shapes and non-separable ones.
Simulations settings and convergence.
The outputs we plan to compare at least initially are: Matter power spectrum, Halo power spectrum and Mass function. 
As for the moment we are interested in the  non-Gaussian correction  to the Gaussian quantity (for matter power spectrum, halo power spectrum and mass function), our simulations requirements may be slightly eased.
This page also serves as a repository of  simulations outputs from any group who wants to contribute to the project.

 MASS FUNCTION
