Abstract: Microlensing has emerged as a powerful technique for discovering cold extrasolar planets beyond the snowline, as well as free-floating planets. In this talk, I will begin by explaining the basic principles of gravitational microlensing, then review recent findings from ongoing surveys, and finally explore the discoveries anticipated from the upcoming Earth 2.0 mission satellite and Roman Space Telescope.
