I will describe a resonant appearing in the scattering of two gravitons, when unitarizing the scattering amplitude with methods inspired by scattering of gluons. This requires the elimination of the IR divergences in the amplitude, which adds a spurious IR scale in the problem. I’ll show that the resonance (the graviball) appears at energy scales below the cut-off and slightly depending on this scale. At the end of the talk I will describe some strategies to fix this uncertainty and comment on possible implications of our finding.
