PRESENTATION
I got my PhD at Universitat de Barcelona (UB) in 2002 under the supervision of Josep M. Paredes, with the maximum qualification of Excellent cum Laude and UB extraordinary prize. I won a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship at the Service d'Astrophysique, CEA-Saclay, France, followed by a CNRS contract at the same institution (2003-2006). I won a Juan de la Cierva (2006-2007) and a Ramon y Cajal contract (2008-2012) at UB, where I became Interim Associate Professor in 2013, and Associate Professor in 2014. I am member of the Quantum Physics and Astrophysics Department, of Institut de Ciències del Cosmos UB (ICCUB) and of Institut d'Estudis Espacials de Catalunya (IEEC). I am the Scientific Director of the Observatori Astronòmic del Montsec (OAdM) since 2017, and Director of OAdM since 2019.
LINES OF RESEARCH
I am an expert on multi-wavelength observations from radio to TeV of high-energy sources in the Galaxy, particularly X-ray and gamma-ray binaries. I master radio-interferometry and optical photometry. I am a member of the MAGIC Collaboration, where I have been Galactic Group Convener (2010-2013), member of the Time Allocation Committee since 2013, internal referee since 2014 and Deputy Physics Coordinator since March 2020. I am also member of the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) Consortium, where I have been co-editor of the Transients Key Science Project. I lead the participation of ICCUB in CTA since 2010.
