Abstract: I will summarise recent work with my student Girish Vishwa about the construction of BRST complexes for BMS-like conformal field theories.  After briefly reviewing the well-known story for the bosonic string, I will move to t he BMS-like conformal field theories and discuss some structural results about the BRST cohomology: 1. the quasi-isomorphic embedding of the chiral sector of any bosonic string into a BMS-like string, and 2. the isomorphism between the BRST cohomology of the BMS-like conformal field theory with the chiral ring of a topologically twisted N=2 superconformal algebra.
