We construct the canonical canonical realization of BMS$_4$ in terms of the Fourier modes of a 4d massless free Klein-Gordon field expressed in terms of celestial coordinates. The role of one of the two quadratic Lorentz Casimir generators in the construction of the realization is emphasized.

We also construct  the w infinity algebra that generalizes the superrotations.
