Composite Higgs Dynamics on the Lattice: Spectrum of SU(2) Gauge Theory with two Fundamental Fermions

We investigate on the Lattice the properties of the SU(2) gauge theory with two Wilson fermions in the fundamental representation [1,2]. We show that this model features an SU(4)/Sp(4) ~ SO(6)/SO(5) flavor symmetry breaking pattern, of which it is therefore the minimal realization in terms of fundamental fermionic fields. As such this model can be used as the building block in a unified framework for composite Higgs models, such as Technicolor and composite pseudo Goldstone Boson (pGB) Higgs models of electroweak symmetry breaking, as suggested in [3]. Using our Lattice simulations we estimate the masses of the lightest spin one vector and axial vector mesons, which set lower limits for the potential new spin-one resonances to be discovered at the LHC. Finally, we mention that the same model has also be used as a template to provide light, asymmetric dark matter candidates as pGB [4]. Numerical simulations have been performed with multiple masses and two different lattice spacings to obtain a first estimate of the chiral and continuum extrapolations.
