Abstract: In this talk, I will present the construction and microstate counting of supersymmetric rotating AdS5 black holes in 5d N = 2 gauged supergravity coupled to two vector multiplets and a universal hypermultiplet. These solutions provide one of the first examples of rotating black holes in such a theory, where hypermultiplet scalars play a nontrivial role. Their entropy can be microscopically accounted for using the superconformal index of the dual 4d class S N = 1 SCFTs. A key challenge in this matching arises from a rational parameter z, which affects the extremization procedure in the CFT and the black hole construction in the supergravity theory. I will outline a method to address these difficulties and discuss the subtleties involved. For z = 1, we identify the full black hole solution, and for z ≠ 1, we perform a perturbative near-horizon analysis, finding a nontrivial match with the CFT in both cases. Finally, I will discuss the thermodynamic properties of these solutions and their relation to supersymmetry.
