The energy dependence of the rho-gamma mixing in the 2x2 gamma-rho propagator matrix, is shown to be able to account for the e^+e^- vs. tau spectral function discrepancy. Consequences for the muon g-2 are discussed. Extensions based on the Resonance Lagrangian Approach (specifically the HLS model) are also discussed.
