Neutron Stars Equation of State and Merging Using the Meta-Modeling Technique

We aim to built a model describing empirical observations concerning neutron stars, namely, the relation between mass and radius. A first simple approach based on the assumption of non-interacting fermions at T=0 results in unrealistic trends, highlighting the importance of the nuclear interaction. A more sophisticate model employing density functional is thus used. Additionally, the meta-modeling technique is considered as a candidate to deal with the different theoretical models. To conclude, the merging of a binary system is treated, particularly focusing on the concept of tidal polarizability.
