An update of the Montsec Astronomical Observatory (OAdM, oadm.ieec.cat) will be given in this presentation, where you will have the chance for direct interaction with the IEEC staff involved in the observatory daily operations. Special focus will be made on the upgraded performance of the Joan Oró Telescope (TJO), a 0.8m robotic telescope, on both photometric and spectroscopic windows. The realuminization of the telescope mirrors announced in July 2018 has now been complemented with two new instruments to complete the largest upgrade of the telescope since its initial operations in 2008. The new CCD camera, named LAIA (Large Area Imager for Astronomy), replaced the former imager MEIA2 and it is now in production since last October 2018. And the ARES spectrograph will now begin operations in shared risk mode for the IEEC members until July this year, when programs from the whole community will start. Most relevant parameters for both instruments are already available at the web site. However, scientific researchers will receive first hand details on the technical features, in order to evaluate the opportunities these instruments offer to carry out research programmes of their interest. In addition, the new policy for the submission of proposals will be presented, and a tour through the proposal submission tool (MUR) will be given.
