In this seminar I will revisit a typical problem of quantum mechanics textbooks: a particle captured by a binding potential. These physics can be applied to the problem of a single distinguishable particle bound in the density depletion a quantum vortex nucleated in a repulsive superfluid. Moreover, in spinor systems, when instead of one atom we put in the core of the vortex many of them, interactions within the system captured in the core of the vortex start to play a significant role. At some point, they can lead to the breakdown of the binding and the appearance of a magnetic state in the system, called magnetic vortex. I will characterize what are magnetic states, and in particular, which are the main features of magnetic vortices.
