Nowadays we know a wide range of binary systems. Many of them contain compact objects such as black holes or neutron stars that have allowed us to study extreme astrophysical phenomena. Moreover, although the theory predicted the existence of black holes around Be stars that rotate rapidly about themselves as if they were cosmic spinning tops, it was not until recently that found the first of these cases: MWC 656. Furthermore, the fact that the X-ray emission is very weak indicates that there could be a lot of these quiet systems in the Milky Way. Finally, evolutionary models predict the emission of gravitational waves in the final stages of MWC 656. This talk will explain the discovery of this binary system and it highlight its implications.
