The Week of WEAVE 2 (WoW2) is a workshop, second of a series, with the aim of further developing the WEAVE-GA implementation plans of the four components of the survey (“sub-surveys”: the Galactic halo, the dynamics of the Galactic discs, Chemical labelling of Galactic populations, the Galactic open clusters), and allowing hands-on working time for the sub-survey teams.

The general goals and of the WoW workshop are:

• To complete the design and target selection of the WEAVE-GA survey in light of the imminent Gaia DR
  

• To ensure the proper degree of communication and discussions within the WEAVE-GA steering group (researchers responsible for survey science preparation and survey planning) and Survey Working Group (SWG, in charge of the implementation of the survey and previous tests)
  

• To integrate the WEAVE-GA survey within the whole WEAVE project
