A PhD position in Cosmology at the Institute of Cosmos Sciences of the University of Barcelona (ICCUB, http://icc.ub.edu) is open under the supervision of Dr. Adrià Gómez-Valent. Some possible research directions include theoretical and phenomenological aspects of the cosmological tensions, physics beyond LambdaCDM (dark energy, modified gravity), model-independent tests of the standard cosmological model, etc.

Applicants should possess a Master's Degree in Physics or anticipate completing it by September 2024. Prospective candidates must have completed coursework in both General Relativity and Cosmology. Good programming skills are also regarded favorably.

Applicants should submit a single pdf file with their CV (including the university degree’s transcripts) and a statement of purpose (one page with past achievements and research interests) to this form. In addition, the referees will be contacted once the application is submitted before May 31, 2024.
