We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 10th International Conference on Quarks and Nuclear Physics. It will be held in Barcelona, Spain on July 8-12, 2024. The Conference is hosted by the Institut de Ciències del Cosmos of the Universitat de Barcelona (ICCUB). 

This conference follows the series of meetings previously held in Adelaide, Julich, Bloomington, Madrid, Beijing, Palaiseau, Valparaiso, Tsukuba and Tallahassee. Experimentalists and theorists will discuss recent developments in the field of hadron and nuclear physics, and the following topics will be covered:

• Hadron Structure 
• Hadron Decays
• Hadron and Nuclear Interactions
• Heavy Flavor and Quarkonia
• Heavy Ion Physics
• Equation of State and Neutron Stars
• Nuclear Structure and Reactions
• Strange Nuclear Systems
• Precision and New Physics

We are grateful to the International Advisory Committee for their suggestions, to all our colleagues who accepted to act as conveners for the conference and to the speakers of the plenary sessions who already accepted our invitation.

In addition to plenary sessions, parallel sessions will be organized on the above topics. A poster session will also be arranged.

Registration

All participants, including invited speakers, should register through the conference website. The regular conference fee is 550€ (480€ if paid before May 31st). It covers the participation in the conference, the conference kit, the welcome reception, the coffee breaks, the conference banquet, a guided tour of Barcelona city center, and the proceedings.

Our available funds are limited. However, we will do our best to provide a reduced fee of 350€ (300€ if paid before May 31st) for the participation of young scientists. We encourage those who need support to send a request to the organisers at the conference email  qnp2024(AT)icc.ub.edu

 

For both Early registration (before May 31th) and regular registration (before June 28th):  the fee can be paid by bank transfer. Please follow the instructions on the website.

  

Venue

The Conference will be held at the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Biology (Av. Diagonal, 643, Barcelona) at the south campus of the Universitat of Barcelona.

 

Accommodation

The arrangement of accommodation is not part of the registration procedure. Please, visit the "Accommodation" link on the conference website for reasonably priced residences close to our venue. Note that mid-July is a busy time in Barcelona; we strongly recommend booking your hotel well in advance.

Conference Dinner

The dinner will take place at the Restaurant Pelai, in the city center, on Thursday, July 11th, at 20:00. Please, indicate your dietary requests at registration.

 

Proceedings

The proceedings of the workshop will be published in Proceedings of Science, the open-access online journal organised by SISSA, the International School for Advanced Studies based in Trieste. The proceedings will be peer-reviewed. The Local Organising Committee will oversee the refereeing process.
